With in a mater of a few hours the land began to take shape and we could finally see where our house was going to sit. Next up are the footings for the basement walls and slab.
This is where everything begins to come to life. We can see the location and it looks as if the several hours of moving stakes around the month prior paid off.
Please contact me at divinitymorgan@yahoo.com we are planning to start building this plan in the next couple of weeks
ReplyDeleteWe are about a month ahead of you building a varient of the nantahala. Only one major problem so far. Builder said the dimensions were off on the plans received from Garrell. We extended the garage length and added basement however. If you have any questions about building progress or issues feel free to contact me at nmoore4439@gmail.com. Enjoying the pictures. Ours is about half framed at this point in mid May. Good luck with the house!
ReplyDeleteMay I ask what your builder estimated to build your plan? What version do you have?
DeleteI didn't use a builder and did quite a bit of the work myself, I have seen people finish this plan on a crawl space with vinyl windows and siding for in high two's but then again you can go overboard and do a full custom and end up 4 times that or more. Kind of a hard question depending on where you live exc..
DeleteBrain: Are you done? Can you post some photos? Congrats! Your project is an inspiration!
DeleteAre you still building or are you all done? my I ask what was your estimated cost to build this home?
ReplyDeleteThanks.
